On Nov 20th, a delegation of 59 overseas teachers and students from JEAN-LURCAT in France had a visit to BCU, and the Deputy Director of the School of Foreign Studies, Ms ZHANG Xinyuan, as well as teachers and students from French major in BCU, hosted the delegation warmly.
During the visit, Ms ZHANG introduced the development of BCU and its international exchange & cooperation in the recent years, and then displayed a bilingual promotional video in French and Chinese, shot by French major students, to introduce the French major. Later on, a campus tour with a closer observation of various schools inside BCU began. In the School of International Studies, the overseas students were attracted by the culture wall, with different languages and mottos on it. In the School of Biomedicine, the visiting team got a chance to learn Traditional Chinese Medicine and to distinguish different species. What's more, the visit to Speech Therapy Room and Operation Therapy Training Room, which are designed for students from Nursing and Rehabilitation major in BCU to apply their knowledge, provided a good perspective for overseas students to know more about the major. In the School of Public Administration, the experience in recording room, photographic studio, and teletorium had brought a happy time for the students to participate.
In the afternoon, four teachers from the French school observed the French class taught by BCU teachers on spot, and students from both BCU and JEAN-LURCAT had a wonderful group discussion with each other.
The school JEAN-LURCAT is located in Paris, France, and BCU has established cooperation with it since 2015, as well as having formed the practice-based and application-oriented international cooperation exchange pattern which takes the enterprise entrusted project as the leading. In early 2017, BCU joined the EU Erasmus + project, and according to the project arrangement, the teachers and students from four countries including France, Spain, Belgium and China can conduct mutual exchange and discussion activities among these four countries.
